Play guide
Five things: the menu, petting, fetch, calling a dog, photos.
Where VR and desktop differ, both are listed.
Pet a dog
You can pet the top of the head, the cheeks and under the chin. In VR, petting with both hands changes the reaction.
The world may take a photo while you pet.
Play fetch
- Pick up a ball and throw it for its dog.
- Watch as the dog brings it back.
- When it comes back, throw again.
Throwing on Desktop
While holding the ball, hold the mouse button to charge your throw, then release it.
Can’t find the ball?
Open Toys in the world menu and select Bring here for that dog.
The ball cannot be recalled while someone is holding it or the dog is busy playing.
Rest together
To have a dog rest next to you, open Call in the world menu.
Follow the in-world prompts to choose the spot and the direction. The veranda and the bedroom both work.
Take photos
The world automatically takes photos of moments such as petting a dog or playing fetch. You can find them on the photo boards inside the house.
The photos are personal to you. New photos replace older ones over time.
Keep a favorite moment
Bring your VRChat camera close to a photo you like and take a picture of it.
Save your favorites before leaving.
The photos on the boards disappear when you leave the world.
Learn more or turn off auto photography
Select ? on the photo board for an explanation. You can turn automatic photography off in Resolution settings beside the board.
The dogs are shared by everyone in the instance. If someone else is playing with a dog, give it a moment.
