01 / MEET & PET

Pet them as much as you like.

How to pet a dog

How they react

Gently stroke a dog’s head, cheeks, or under its chin. Watch it lean toward your hand and wag its tail. In VR, try petting with both hands and see how its reaction changes.

02 / PLAY TOGETHER

Throw a ball

It comes back to whoever threw it. Besides the ball there are a doughnut, a bone and a temari ball.

How to play fetch

Back to whoever threw it

Throw a ball and watch a dog chase it and bring it back. When it waits with the ball in its mouth, take it for another round.

Extra toys: Points or purchases

Other toys

Choose from toys such as a doughnut, a bone, or a temari ball. If a ball goes far away, the menu can bring it back to a spot near you.

Formations, races, two dogs playing

Gather the dogs into a formation, let them race after a ball, or choose two dogs to play together. There’s plenty to watch when the pack joins in.

03 / REST TOGETHER

Have a dog sleep next to you

Open Call in the menu, pick a spot and a direction, and the dog comes over. On the veranda, or by your pillow.

How to rest beside a dog

Pick a spot and a direction

Choose where a dog should come and which way it faces. Let it lie on its side, lie down, sit, or curl up. Find a cozy spot in the garden or beside your pillow.

Extra poses and actions: Points

Paw, chin rest, belly up

Ask for a paw or let a dog rest its chin on your hand. Discover a belly-up pose, a stretch, and a yawn—more little sides of your companion.

Nap together, or just watch

Listen to a sleeping dog breathe beside you. Watch the dogs wander through the garden or play with one another. You don’t have to keep them busy to enjoy their company.

Who can call dogs depends on the instance settings. Take turns with dogs that are spending time with someone else.

Petting effects

Paw prints, petals, and sparkling lights. Choose an effect that appears as you pet a dog. Some live sets also include their own matching effects.

05 / PHOTOS & MEMORIES

The world takes the photos

Photos are taken automatically while you pet a dog or when it brings a ball back, and shown on the veranda board. They are yours only, and they clear when you leave.

How to keep your photos

Automatic photos

Moments such as petting or a dog returning a ball are photographed automatically. Browse different angles on the veranda’s photo board, and find bedside moments on the bedroom board.

Save one before you leave

The photos are personal to you. Save the ones you love, and choose a frame with paw prints, hearts, or a little sparkle. Photos on the boards disappear when you leave the world.

Dog-view monitor: Points

Dog’s-eye monitor

Use your personal dog-view monitor to look around from closer to the ground. Familiar places—and you playing nearby—look a little different from here.

06 / MUSIC & LIGHT

Live shows in the garden

Lights spread across the garden in time with the music. Anyone can watch a show someone else hosts, without owning it.

Shows to host: Points or purchases

Hosting and watching shows

Lights fill the garden in time with the music, with a different mood for each show. When someone hosts a show, everyone can watch, even without owning it.

Purchased shows; seasonal items available

Shows with the dogs on stage

The dogs perform in Candy Step and Pumpkin Parade, too. Enjoy costumes and performances that bring a different kind of playtime to the garden.
